Bruce and Marion LaBar
|
After required military service, Bruce attended Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania from which he received an MBA in 1957. His career began in public accounting (during which time he received a CPA), followed by 30 years as an investment analyst, analyst supervisor and member of stock and bond selection and strategy committees at three different investment management organizations. Bruce is a CFA. He retired in 1992 and since then has spent his time traveling, reading, writing, playing tennis and volunteering.
Marion spent the early years of her marriage raising two children and volunteering at Princeton Hospital, church, school and PTO. After the children left home, Marion worked as substitute teacher, legal secretary and inventory manager at Talbot’s. She retired in 1994. She and Bruce continue to sing in their church’s choir as well as other choral organizations, an activity that they have enjoyed since meeting in the chapel choir at Bucknell.
Marion and Bruce, married in 1956, moved to Princeton in 1968 and, since 2005, have made their home at Princeton Windrows where they have served on, respectively, the activities and finance committees. In 2008 Bruce was appointed/elected treasurer and trustee of Windrows’ condominium association. They enjoy the life of the community, especially mixing with other residents at dinner and various other activities. |
