Princeton Windrows: Focused on Safety and Managing COVID-19

"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much" – Helen Keller

The feeling that we are all in this together has always been a source of great strength and pride for the Princeton Windrows community.  And never more so than during these uncertain times as we all face the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Princeton Windrows implemented safety protocols to keep our community safe, guided by state and federal guidelines, while striving to ensure ample opportunity for residents to stay connected and thrive.  While the many services and activities offered adapted and evolved to meet the challenge of the moment, the level of excellence that the self-governed community expects always remains.  No one ever has to feel alone at Princeton Windrows.

The community immediately developed a plan to adhere to social distancing, mask use and hand sanitizing guidelines, limiting access to the community for non-essential persons, and instituting a screening protocol for essential visitors and employees.  A new ionization air filtration system was also installed to maintain the best possible air quality throughout the central common areas. This protocol continues to be in effect today and we are continually evaluating the new guidelines and recommendations of the nation's top health care professionals.

One of the many benefits of living at Princeton Windrows is our critical service departments - Culinary, Housekeeping, Home Maintenance, Wellness, Transportation, Programs and Activities, and Administration. All departments are staffed by Windrows employees. We continue to provide wellness services, weekly housekeeping, private and socially distanced group transportation, and the ongoing maintenance of our beautiful campus. Our renowned culinary experience continues to shine with socially distanced table service and al fresco dining options, as well as delivery of daily gourmet meals straight to the residents home.

Always mindful of social distancing restrictions, Princeton Windrows has ensured that our resident committees continue to operate smoothly. We are using Zoom video technology for our resident committees and board meetings, weekly "Wednesdays at Windrows" lecture series, concerts, photography, book and music clubs, and so much more.  Fitness classes have been reconvened and our indoor heated pool and hot tub have also been re-opened.  There is always an opportunity to engage the mind and body at Windrows.

We are very proud to be part of a community where the focus has, and always will be, the comfort, safety, and security of the resident homeowners - our friends and neighbors. That is what makes our community truly "Different by Design".
